WordPress Updates

Plugins, themes, and WordPress versions all need updating. Quite a few plugins release new versions quite often. Maintaining updates helps prevent hacks and keeps your site running smooth.

Proactive Security

Protected by an endpoint firewall and malware scanner that were built from the ground up to protect WordPress. Plus, daily malware scans to detect potential malicious code.

E-commerce Updates

Running an eCommerce site with products, subscriptions, or services? Extra care is needed to run smoothly.  E-commerce plugins / API’s are updated and then checked on the front-end for issues.

Active Monitoring

Downtime means lost revenue and potential future loss of traffic from search engines penalties. Automatic daily site monitoring will alert us if it’s down so we can take action to get it back up ASAP.

Database Optimization

WordPress sites that accept comments will inevitably build up spam and also post revisions, and other database overhead will accumulate. Cleaned regularly, your site will run better.

Speed Optimization

Make Google Search (and your users) happy by speeding up page load time on your website with script & style minification, lossless image compression, caching, CDN (content delivery network) support, and more.

Setup / Configuration Tasks

Need a plugin installed and set up, or theme options adjusted, maybe a colour change?  It can be any setting from your WordPress dashboard, theme options, or plugin settings.

Content Updates

Any piece of content on your website, such as text, images, video, blog posts, links, etc. can be updated for you.  Simply send over the new content and it will be replaced or added to the site.

Can updates break my website?

The simple answer is yes, they can. Updates are usually pretty straightforward and uneventful, but hey, we all know how computers and technology can fail us at the most inopportune time. So updates are always preceded by a complete, tested backup. Then we update and if things go south, we can restore and have the site back up and running in no time at all.

Can my website be hacked?

Unfortunately, if security issues in core files or plugins are discovered, there is a possibility of being hacked before updates are available. If the worst case scenario occurs, we can roll-back to a previously known good backup. But most likely, no, not if we are proactive and takes the steps necessary to prevent the hack. A website that is not maintained WILL be hacked though, that is almost a certainty.
