Overview

At Betonicah Web Design, we’ve always been fans of the Coffee News brand, often enjoying it at our local Tim Horton’s near the office. While reaching out to Surdel Coffee News to advertise in their paper, we learned they were searching for a local professional team to rebuild their online edition. We were excited to dive in and help modernize a publication we already knew and loved. Working closely with the Surdel Coffee News team, we brought their vision to life by creating a dynamic online edition that not only preserved the charm of the original paper but also delivered a great experience for both readers and advertisers.

We built the Coffee News online edition from the ground up, carefully ensuring it matched the style and feel of the Coffee News brand. We implemented a rotating ad display, with sidebar ads on desktop that mimic the print version, and clean, concise ad groups on mobile for a seamless experience. All the core sections of Coffee News were brought online, now more engaging with features like an interactive trivia game and shareable horoscopes. The site is built using modern web technologies and best practices, with strong SEO to boost visibility. It also includes clear CTA elements for newsletter signups, so readers can receive the latest edition directly in their inbox each week. Overall, we’re thrilled to have collaborated to create a beautiful platform that offers a great reading experience, a strong advertising space, and the flexibility to grow and evolve overtime, keeping readers coming back.
